it's now available!
At long last, you can now buy Heat Sin Water Skin here on the website, at Waterloo Records (Austin, TX), and on iTunes. Click on the fist full of cash to buy a hard copy or on the headphones to buy tunes digitally right here from the BettySoo store.
The album has been enjoying lots of radio play (thanks to all you amazing independent stations!!) and has charted on Roots Music, Americana, and Folk charts. *Special local shout-out to KGSR and KUT in Austin, TX! It has also been garnering great printed album reviews - check some of them out on the press page.

2010 is blazing by - and summer is upon us!
Kerrville was amazing! Thanks for packing the mainstage grounds despite the sun beating down on
us! The band had an amazing time and was thankful to be embraced so warmly as we tiptoed that
line between folk and rock - celebrating all the unique musical influences that have shaped us and
our sound. It's been busy for us here, still shipping CDs from the living room, driving coast to coast
(trying to hit over 30 mpg - which often means skipping the air conditioning - whoo!) and
listening to
as much music from our friends, between our own shows, as we can possibly absorb.
I'm getting ready now to hit the west coast for a string of dates in California: San Francisco, Santa
Barbara, Los Angeles, Felton, and Berkeley, plus a stop in Portland, Oregon. Some of the dates will
be my own, others will be supporting Crooked Still or Peter Case. Some solo, some not. I'm thrilled.
Then it's northward to
visit Alaska for the first time (I've always wanted to go!) to
teach at the
Acoustic Alaska Guitar Camp (no - don't worry, no one's gonna expect me to teach anyone how to
shred nasty-cool solos. I'll stick to subjects I know something about - songwriting & singing. ha ha...),
and I'll also return to
Sisters Folk Fest in Oregon in September to teach at the Song Academy as well
as to perform during the festival weekend.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled also for some great tour-pairings. I'm making some fun touring plans
with some friends...so there ought to be some interesting co-bill shows for you to catch.
(By the way, have you seen her new T-shirts for kids? Very cute raglan 3/4 sleeves for the kiddos!
